[SOLVED] double log in issue with captcha

12 years 4 months ago - 12 years 4 months ago #185726 by ellare
I currently have my sign in module (mod_cblogin) living in a right column on all pages of the site. I also have captcha installed and enabled.

If someone mistypes their log in info while logging in with the sign in module in the right column, it takes them to another page with ANOTHER log in module in the main body. This module does NOT have captcha and if a user enters info in to the main body module, it will error out with "invalid security code"

How do I fix this to where if a user enters wrong info in right side sign in module, it will not take them to another sign in module that is showing up in main body ?

test site at yourdigitaldestiny.com/mob

thanks

The login page uses the parameters from the first CB Login module it finds. Please check that all your CB login modules have "CB Plugins integration" set to "Yes".

The only cb_login module I have active on the site is the right module and it is set to YES for plugin integration (bc I have groupjive on this site as well, so i enabled it).

I cannot access the one that is populating in the main body - or at least I don't know
how to...yet.

also - to clarify

If someone mistypes their log in info while logging in with the sign in module in the right column, it takes them to another page with ANOTHER log in module in the main body. This module does NOT have captcha and if a user enters info in to the main body module, it will error out with "invalid security code"

it takes the user to another page with the log in module in main body AND the right module is there too. It becomes a page with 2 login modules - one with the captcha (right module) and the main body login module does not have a captcha. So if a user enters correct info into main body login module, an error is generated saying "invalid security code" -- because the site is checking against the right module, not the main body.

That's working as intended, but the login page should have the Captcha display in it.

Please provide Joomla version, CB version, and CB Captcha version so may try to duplicate.

Please PM backend super user login credentials and will take a look. I think this was a previously known issue where the params weren't processed right as they were json_encoded. Thought we fixed that with CB 1.7.1 though.
