Simple Way To Delete or Disable Users by CB Modera

12 years 2 months ago #191240 by shoutstream
I'm trying to find a simple way to let my customer delete or disable users as was available in the previous version of CB.

I do not want them to login into the admin of Joomla so I would like them to search CB User list then disable or delete the user.

Currently you can ban the user, but this does not prevent them from being able to log into the site.

I'm using Joomla 1.5.15, CB 1.7.

Sorry if this is a no brainner, but I've looked everywhere. Thanks!

CB never had such a frontend user deletion function.

Only thing moderators can do is to ban a user profile from frontend.

There was a disable function before, because I trained my customer on how to use it, but now it's gone.

Is there another way to disable a user from the frontend?

Thanks in advance.

There was never a disable function. There's just a ban function, which is still there. To disable/delete a user you're going to need a 3rd party plugin to provide such a feature. I believe there is a "Delete Me" plugin or something of the sort that other users have been using. I recommend checking Joomla.org extension directory or our directory below.

If you had such a function then it was something additional you installed as CB never had it.

Maybe an CB Auto Action can be configured to do this based on a CB field value.

See this tutorial for guidance:

Thanks for your help.

Just to make sure I asked, ban does not prevent the user from logging in correct ? :)

Thanks again!
