It's ready to go out of the box. Simply install and enable. What specifically are you needing to know?

That's to create custom activity, you don't need to mess with any of that. GJ is already integrated, again; install then enable and that's it

I've used also the cb content module. It's really powerfull.

Is there any documentation? (more extensive than the pdf extract)

CB Content simply renders substitutions. You can find substitution usage information in the below tutorial.
