By creating a new plugin and using API. Please review Advanced subscriber CB Facebook Connect plugin on how to do so. There's also the Professional subscriber CB Blogs and CB Invites plugins which utilizes the menu API. You could edit the plugins core code directly, but we do not support core edits.
