Switching from En to El missing username in URL

Hello,

I am experiencing the same issue. When not logged in and trying to make a language switch in profile page, the profile's username is not contained as part of the URL, i.e. username is not suffixed to the URL. I even tried to have 2 CB Profile items, a CB Profile En and another CB Profile El, associated with each other, but still unsuccessful! When logged in, all work fine, but it is important to notice that the URL of each language does not contain the username at the end!!!

e.g.

Switching from En to El scenario

En link appears correctly:
/directory/index.php/en/cb-profile-en/username

El link displayed wrong (username does not exist at the end of the URL):
/directory/index.php/el/cb-profile-el

We don't have any control over that. The language switcher behavior is entirely Joomla. The language switcher module has no functionality to customize what URL it switches to and is operating entirely off the menu item URL.

The only way to fix this from our end is to generate language associations for every single profile URL or create a menu item for every single profile URL, which isn't practical. Ideally Joomla should be taking current URL, swapping out &lang, then redirecting but it doesn't.

It's usually best to only make language switching available on your home page or on pages that you've very specific menu items for.
