We are using a list to display those users who have set a particular field. The list display is working great. However, "Search Users" returns only full exact matches. For example, "john" returns no results, but "John Smith" returns one result.

Ideally, a search for "john" would return "John Doe," "John Smith" and "Michael John Adams." Is this possible?

Details: J1.5.22, CB 1.3.1. My list displays Name and a custom field "Craft." My list is set for Searchable fields, displayed ones only and Simple Exact Match. (I've also tried using Simple Any Word Match, which then returns every record regardless of the search string.)

Forgot to add: in field management both Name and cb_craft are set as Searchable.

I'm having the same problem - is there a way to set a name search if user enters "John" and list results "John Jones", "John Smith", etc... ?

Never mind - got it down at the bottom in List Edit - Multisearch criterion set to any - I didn't see that.
