Automatic Duplication field entries

Dear Forum members,
What we are trying to do is the following, we have 4 name field entries.
1 firstname1
2 lastname1
3 firstname2
4 lastname2
what we would like to happen is when people fill in field 1 (firstname1) that field 3 (firstname2) auto populates, so clients do not have to fill out the name fields twice.
any suggestions on this would be greatfull

Am not aware of anything that can provide this feature, sorry. You'd need a new CB Plugin that'll add jquery to registration form with the trigger onBeforeRegisterFormDisplay and move the contents of Field A to Field B.

I'm also looking for something like this. One field being calculated depending on the input in another. I would like to use the second field to sort on in lists. The first field inputs are known in a drop down, but not named in a order to be able to sort on.
What I'm looking for is:
Field Calculated field
AAA 2
BBB 1
DDD 1
CCC 3
To be able to sort on the "Calculated field"

If you don't need the field actually visible then you can do the calculation with professional subscriber incubator project CB Queries or possibly CB Fields if the calculation is simple (such as making the field 123 instead of blank based on XYZ).
Both plugins act on CB triggers so you could use the after registration trigger and it'd change the field to whatever you like. CB Queries is a bit more complex as in it performs direct database queries if you needed more complex calculations. You could then of course sort your userlists by that field.
