Hello,
I'm having trouble figuring out how to show the profile fields (karma,ranking,online since...) outside of the main body. I want to show them inside modules in the right column. is this possible?
same question also for the profile tabs.

I registered as an advanced member and installed the content module.
What I need is a way to show a link on each users profile page that will show a page with "this users articles" or "this users forum posts"
I do use the tabbs but I don't want all the info in the tabbs.
I dont think the content module does this, or I just don't get how to do it.

CB Content module can't be dynamic based on the URL or Article viewed. There's really no way to accomplish what you're wanting without a custom module.
I recommend providing vital details within your first post in the future as Nicks recommendation was post on for your first post.
At any rate the CB Content module uses substitutions to render content. Please see the below tutorial regarding substitution usage.
