Email Handling in CB profile

In the CB Configuration Mgr, I have Email Handling set to Display Link in Email Form. Our user's profiles are visible in a directory to the general public. But if someone who is not a member clicks on the Send Email link in a profile, they get this message: "You are not authorized to view this page! You need to log in." Is there any way to make that function work for non-registered users? Otherwise, the only option is to display the member's email address, which they prefer not to do.
I made sure that the CB menu item and everything in the tab manager are set to public access.

It's not possible to use the Email Form when not logged in. You must be a registered user to send emails via the form. Displaying the email address vs using the email form publicly is both an issue except your site will get flagged for spamming instead of the spammers. I don't recommend public email access (again, form won't allow it).
