[SOLVED] Is this a bug? "Time" not working in Date field. was created by hellojoomla
Hi All,

I am trying to include the time in a date field in CB 1.4,
But all I get is this:


I have set Field-specific Parameters like this:



But there is no way to add the the time.

Any Ideas?

Time is not displayed unless you're using the old calendar method. Drop-down method does not have an option for time.

How do we use the old calendar method without the drop-downs, I really need to have a field with the time in it.

Changing the calendar type will affect all date fields. With that said you can change this from within CB configuration on the General tab.

Still doesn't show time though. Is there any way to create a "time" field so I can enter 2pm and have a list sorted by "time"? That way I can make a list that will be a schedule of bands playing at an event.

It doesn't show time, but you can append it after the date (e.g. 01/22/2011 12:00:00). There's no easy to use datetime calendar, sorry. This is something we plan to address with CB 2.0 in providing a much more efficient and attractive calendar.

For event scheduling I HIGHLY recommend using an extension specialized in such usage. For example Eventlist or jEvents, etc..
