[SOLVED] Secure Connection error was created by cte2087
I am getting the following error when trying to pay for a plan.

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to doctordealsonline.com.

SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length.

(Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)

* The page you are trying to view can not be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.

* Please contact the web site owners to inform them of this problem. Alternatively, use the command found in the help menu to report this broken site.

I have not set up an SSL for this site, so I must be missing something. Any ideas what the heck is going on?

Thanks,
Chris

How are you trying to make a payment? If through Authorize.net you are required to have SSL. If trying to make a dummy gateway test payment you can configure it to use HTTP within CBSubs > Settings > Credit Cards. PayPal is paid off-site and does not require SSL, should not receive such a message using it.

I am trying to use Authorize. Will I need to specify the pages I want covered by the SSL or should I just blanket the whole site? I am hosting with Godaddy and will be using their SSL services.

I have set-up a SSL cert for the account, but I am still getting an error. If I am testing the account, do I need to set the MD5 hash? Do I need to set up the silent post URL? Any help would be great...this is my first CB subs set-up and it is a bit new to me. Not exactly like using Virtuemart. On top of it...the client is pressing for a launch this week.

Please refer to your documentation regarding Authorize.net usage. You need a dedicated IP for SSL and the SSL must be valid, it can not be self-signed. You must also be making purchases with HTTPS (see credit card configuration in CBSubs Settings).

OK...I see that the account is going through a change still. The are switching the account to a dedicated IP and finishing the cert set-up. I am just a bit impatient with this deadline looming. Thank you for the quick responses.
