where is the folder for group logos ?

13 years 1 month ago #158850 by fczeck
After installing the GJ 2.0 eventplugin instead of the 2.1 version and changed the videosize manually in the cbgroupjivevideo.php (could somehow not change from backend) almost everything is working fine... except uploading grouplogos:

* JFolder::create: Could not create directory
* Error occurred during the moving of the uploaded file. Method: Move

everything else (photos, videos, invites, wall-entries...) worked fine so I guess it's a simple chmod question. Could you please tell me which folder needs the according permissions to make it work? Or could it be another issue? The picture i loaded up had the correct sizes B)

This is a known and resolved issue (purpose of new versions). Please upgrade to just released version 2.2. You can not roll back to 2.0 from 2.1 and expect things to fix ;)

hello again and thank you for your replie

hmm..I've installed 2.2 now, but unfortunatly the only sucess is  that the error-message changed a little bit when trying to upload a grouplogo:

* JFolder::create: Could not create directory
* Group failed to save! Error: Error occurred during the moving of the uploaded file. Method: Move

I'm really sorry, maybe it's just some absolute basic problem with my configuration, but I'm not aware of it - any idea?

This means CBs image library is failing to move the file from PHP temp folder to its destination. Not sure, but could be a permissions issue on the image folders however permissions setting is fixed in 2.2. If the image folders existed before 2.2 you may need to edit them manually via FTP and adjust permissions accordingly. You can find logos at images/comprofiler/plug_cbgroupjive. Please test that image uploads are working within CB (image fields).
