groupjive 2.2 install was created by userpic36
it is not clear in the Groupjive doc whether it is mandatory to uninstall groupjive 2.1 before installing groupjive 2.2 ?
or can I simply install 2.2 over the current 2.1 version ?
or can I simply install 2.2 over the current 2.1 version ?

No uninstall is required unless 1.8 is installed then you need to uninstall its CB plugin first before installing 2.x. If upgrading from say 2.1 to 2.2 simply install and it'll auto-update.
