Unable to instal CBsubs to Joomla need a little assistance

5 years 2 months ago #310460 by tony3372
After downloading file after purchase i am trying to upload to Joomla via instal plug in in community builder.

On following manual instructions
Locate the cbplug_CBSubs_MAIN-4.1.0.zippackage contained in your locally decompressed distribution package, select it and click the Openbutton

I cannot locate cbplug_CBSubs_MAIN-4.1.0.zippackage in the package downloaded.

Any ideas please? (used the ticket system but not yet received a reply)

You do not need to unzip the package. Simply download from the CB Paid Subscriptions product page below and install through Joomla or CB.

www.joomlapolis.com/addons/cb-paid-subscriptions

You can also install it directly through our Install from Web feature within CB > Plugin Management > Install New Plugin or our downloads page below. Make sure to be logged in at this site here to have free access with your subscription.

Also, if you hit error

" There was an error uploading this file to the server.
Maximum PHP file upload size is too small: This is set in php.ini in both upload_max_filesize and post_max_size settings of your PHP settings (located in php.ini and/or .htaccess file).
Unable to find install package"

You need to increase upload_max_filesize and post_max_size settings of your PHP settings to a value larger than the zip file you are trying to upload (these days, a reasonable value set by default by most hosters is 16M), or even simpler, use the install from web feature detailed above which does not have that limitation.

Failed to move uploaded file to /home/tonyssoc/public_html/tmp/ directory.

That means your server has a permissions problem. It's not able to access php tmp. Contact your host regarding this. You shouldn't be able to install any extension with such an issue though. Could also be due to incorrectly configured Joomla. Ensure "Path to Temp Folder" within System > Global Configuration > Server is set correctly. Navigate to System > System Information > Folder Permissions for Joomla to check write access to necessary folders.

also is this the correct file name
I ave to upload as its different from the manual

Manual has not been updated with latest filename as we've a new download manager since launch of CB 2.0 that no longer requires manual unpacking.
