Upgrade User's Subscription Plan from Admin Panel

Let's say there are 3 options to sign-up via CB Subs on my site:

1) Free Option

2) $10 per month

3) $15 per month

If a user signs up for the free option above decides that they would like to upgrade to the $15 per month option, typically this would be done by that user signing into the profile and manually upgrading the subscription level there. But for my case we would like the ability to log into the admin panel as an administrator and upgrade the membership for the user. I see that if I go to the user manager of CB Subs then I can upgrade the membership to the other available options. When I do this and the customer logs back into the site their account has been set to the new membership level. My question is whether the user will then be charged for the new membership level at the next monthly charge date or if this just changes the information locally on my site?

I hope this makes sense. One other thing... if the user were to upgrade their subscription plan within the logged in profile on the frontend, they are immediately prompted to submit payment. This is what I thought would happen when an administrator made the same change and the user logs into be prompted to verify the payment. But, this did not happen so I am curious how the user would pay for the upgraded plan. Thanks for your time with the question.

It gives them a free subscription for the duration of the plan. Say the subscription is 1 month and you give them that subscription from backend. You basically just gave them 1 month free. At time of expiration they would have to manually renew their subscription for whatever the price of the plan is unless you give them another free month from backend.

This is what I thought would happen when an administrator made the same change and the user logs into be prompted to verify the payment.

Nope, backend bypasses all of this and immediately gives them the subscription for free.
