Blank page after Upgrade to CB 1.9 / CBSubs 3.0

10 years 8 months ago #232400 by bytekultur
Hi, I have Joomla 2.5.14 and have just upgraded CB to 1.9 (from 1.8.1) and CB Subs to 3.0. I encountered several problems after installing first CB and then CBSubs:

CB Tools
> Check Users produces a few errors
> Synchronize Users produces a blank page, unless I deactivate "Fields Tabs Protect"
> Check Plugin DB says "CB Profile Pro has no readable xml file" - if I check, the plugin seems installed, but if I check the folder components\com_comprofiler\plugin\user\plug_cbprofilepro, it does not exist

CB User Manager
> produces a blank page unless I deactivate "Fields Tabs Protect"

CB Subs
> produces a blank page, even after deactivated "Fields Tabs Protect"

I have tried debugging and max level of reporting in the joomla configuration, but there is no more information, I only get a blank page.

I use the latest version of XAMPP, so I don't think it's a PHP version problem.
It seems that there are some new Plugins since this version of CB that have to be integrated...

So my questions are
- where can I get "CB Profile Pro" or can I use CB without it?
- does any one know how to correctly configure and integrate "Fields Tabs Protect"?

Thanks for any hints on that!

Please see our FAQ below regarding blank pages.

We are not the developers of CB Profile Pro so I can not advise you on its usage.

Please see your CBSubs documentation. Several use cases for that plugin are described in detail.

Hi,

thank you, I will read about Profile Pro with the developer.
As Profile Pro is not developped by you, I uninstalled it for now to test if it had an influence.

Where can I get the CBSubs documentation? It was not included in the download package.

As to the blank pages - I had already activated debugging, error display and error reporting as I said. Thanks for the tipp with the server log, unfortunately that didn't help much.

If only I had an error message related to CBSubs! The only thing I found in the log was a few plugins causing errors like cbrecaptcha or chronoform which I have unpublished. Now there are no more errors, but no effect on CBSubs, still the same blank page.

CBSubs GPL documentation is in the CBSubs GPL download area:

www.joomlapolis.com/downloads/downloads-single-items/cat_view/118-cbsubs-gpl-download-area

last item in the page.
