I am getting this error even thought the parent plan is published.
Chosen plans combination is not allowed (you must choose coherent plans selection, e.g. mandatory subscription(s) must be active or mandatory plan(s) must be chosen).
Please press back button and select the Tournament Registration plan to which you would like to upgrade.
...any ideas?

Sounds like your plan is set to non-exclusive while having an exclusive plan that is not available on registration. This will cause issues as CBSubs thinks the plan is required, but the plan isn't available. Set your plan as exclusive and it should resolve your issue.

I tried that but it caused other issues now.
I have 3 parent plans each with 2 child plans.
Users should be able to select all at the same time if they want.
It's been working for a year and now it doesnt and I dont know why.

You have an Exclusive parent plan somewhere then. Check within CBSubs > Plans and make sure all are non-Exclusive if you want to be able to select all of them at once.
