First Time CB Builders and CB SUBS users

We do not have an SSL certificate on this site and was not planning to.

Site still in DEV for a couple of weeks

However, after the user registers and then goes to pay (using dummy gateway) the page bombs out after a little while.

I believe it might be because CB SUBs tryies to call a HTTPS page.
Would this be the case and how do I fix this.

End payment gateway at present and planned is PAYPAL.

Thanks

R

No, you do not need a SSL cert for CBSubs to do https requests to Paypal.

Dummy gateway uses the http/https setting for credit cards in General CBSubs config (display/credit-cards tab). Just turn it to http and you are good to go.

Fully agree that dummy shouldn't use https. Marking that for fixing in a next release.

By change, you mean simply edit the URL and reload the page?

Aha I have found it as you say.

So when we go live and want to use PayPal... must we switch this back on.. and even though we are not using an SSL cert we will be ok to use?

Thanks in advance

Nope, you do not need SSL for PayPal. The PayPal gateway does not use that credit card form so you can leave it set to HTTP for any testing purposes.
