In addition to my subscriptions to the site, I have set up a donation button that can be used for any amount above 1.00. In testing that button, I get the following message which does not make sense to me:

Chosen plans combination is not allowed (you must choose coherent plans selection, e.g. mandatory subscription(s) must be active or mandatory plan(s) must be chosen).
Please press back button and select the membership plan to which you would like to upgrade.

You've plans marked as Exclusive while the donation plan is likely marked non-Exlusive. Exclusive also means Mandatory or Required. So your link to your donation plan should also include the IDs of any Exclusive parent plans as well (e.g. &plans=1-2-3).

You are correct that the paid plans are marked exclusive under one parent, while the donation is marked non-exclusive by itself. Not sure what you mean by include the IDs? Where would I do that?

If you have the following configuration then this issue will happen.

Plan 1 (Exclusive)
Plan 2 (Exclusive)
Plan 3 (Non-Exclusive)

If all you select is Plan 3 it'll error as you're required to obtain either Plan 1 or 2. To fix this you'll need to set Plans 1 and 2 to Non-Exclusive. Alternatively you can use the below.

Plan 1 (Non-Exclusive)
- Plan 2 (Exclusive)
- Plan 3 (Exclusive)
Plan 4 (Non-Exclusive)

Now you can have Plan 1 and Plan 4 or either/or separately. If you select Plan 1 then you must select Plan 2 or Plan 3.

You said you had a donate button, which I assume you have via plans URL. My suggest was to add the plan ids that are set as mandatory to the URL so they'll also be available on your donation plan page.
