Joomla/CB backend - User Management - New: there is a manditory checkbox without any label to the left of it

That's the terms and conditions field. If it shows like that it means there's no terms text or terms url, which looks like I forgot to supply defaults for those inputs so will fix for next Beta. In the mean time just edit the acceptedterms field within CB > Field Management and set it as non-required, etc.. as needed.

Note you can create more Terms and Conditions fields too. This is how CB handles terms and conditions now. We no longer use the global parameters (they're gone). You can create as many as you want. Multiple display modes are supported (popular Modal window mode is available).
