CBSubs Mailer - upgraded plan receiving renewal notices

7 years 9 months ago #283770 by EPICweb
Hi, all!
I have three plans, Author, Industry, Dual (both Author and Industry). Some of my members have changed from one to another over the years. The old subscriptions are showing up in their subscription tab in Community Builder User Management. Not much of an issue up to now so I've left things alone.

My issue now is that I have mailers set up to send renewal reminders. CBSubs is sending reminders for the plans that were upgraded, in spite of the fact that there is another active subscription which was just renewed.

This happened to one person who paid directly and I renewed her manually. Since there is no payment in CBSubs for this person, does this affect the behavior of the mailer?

Is it safe to delete the old plans from a person's record in User Management in Community Builder?

Thanks!

The mailer will send based off the exact conditions you've specified. If you're sending a reminder after they've expired then ensure you've set it to only affect expired subscriptions. Subscriptions that have been upgraded have a different status than expired. If you're sending before expiration then ensure you're conditioning that the subscription is still active. This should prevent the mailer from sending when the user has upgraded to another plan.
