[SOLVED] CB Login issue was created by cc0623
The login does not function on the first login attempt, it logs in on the second login attempt. Can someone explain what might be going wrong?

What happens on the first login attempt? This is almost always caused by a cross-domain problem. Ensure live_site within configuration.php is empty. Next ensure your first login redirect within CB > Configuration > Registration is either empty or that you've supplied a non-SEF URL beginning with index.php.

I went to CB > Configuration > Registration and removed what was in the field. Then went to configuration.php and it is empty?. (See attachment).

When I attempt to login it just resets the login and then on the second try logs me in. It should log me in and send me to my profile page but it doesn't.

Any other suggestions?

Check the domains before and after the broken login attempt. The domains should match exactly. If one switches to/from HTTP/HTTPS or www/non-www then it's going to appear not logged in.

Solved! My error was in CBSubs>plan> registration cb workflows. I should have left both these fields blank.
