If i upgrade to CB 2.1, will it overwrite my page profile display?

The last time, we upgraded from 1.9 to 2.0, the canvas was automatically enabled. Will the upgrade to 2.1 enable any new plugins?

Don't want to surprise the users with a new look.. thanks in advance.

Yes, the canvas styling has been changed. See our demo site below. It's not as drastic as 1.x to 2.x though.

Will the upgrade to 2.1 enable any new plugins?

No

If my canvas is off by default, will it be on upon upgrade.

I am hoping that the "look and feel" will be close to the current looks..

No, it only has migration from old canvas positions to the new canvas positions.

I am hoping that the "look and feel" will be close to the current looks..

The demo site is completely up to date. If you're using canvas layout then that's what it'll look like. If you're not using canvas layout then the canvas styling changes are irrelevant to your install.

Folks use a staging area. Clone your site. Install updates on the clone. Inspect the clone for changes. This is the best way to see what's going to happen to your live site.
