Part of Article Access for Members only

7 years 1 month ago #293229 by lynnapp
HI,
I am creating a single article for menu page. I want the top half to be available to all but the bottom half only if you are logged in.

I tried a read more and changing the integration in CB Subs but I think that is for category/blog stuff.

I thought there was a way to do this If I am wrong Let me know. If you know of a plugin or module or something that will make this happen that would be helpful too.

I have tried to search for this but I think I am searching the wrong words.

Thank you

You don't need CBSubs for that. You need CB Content Bot, which allows substitutions in all content prepare usages (e.g. Joomla articles). Once installed, published, and public you can use an IF substitution to limit a specific part of your article to a view access level, usergroup, or even a field. Example as follows.

THIS IS VISIBLE TO EVERYONE
[cb:if user="#me" user_id>"0"]THIS IS VISIBLE TO LOGGED IN USERS[/cb:if]

See the below tutorial for further substitution usage information.
