Lost password functionality problem was created by l3g0s
Hello everybody,
I have a problem with the Lost password functionality. The field password has Authorized data "At least 6 chars, 1 a-z, 1 A-Z, 1 0-9, 1 special" and minimum length "8". When the user want a new password, the result does not respect the desired conditions. Therefore, the user can not log in with the new password.
Do you have an idea for the generated password to work ?

The forgot login process generates a new random and secure password. It doesn't care what the validation is set to on the field in regards to forgot login process. We're using Joomlas own functions to do this. It's not possible to change this behavior.

It is therefore impossible to have a rule for the password if I wish to have more complexity in the passwords...
Do you know the rules of the password generator? I could thus adapt the rules as close as possible to what is generated.

You can't have rules for generated passwords. Their complexity is already within security standards so there isn't any need. Joomla does not provide any means to customize randomly generated passwords beyond the length which we already set to 12 characters for higher security than Joomlas default 8.
