2 years ago I did some language overrides the old fashioned way and now I don't remember how I did it (to even find what words I changed) and if you've changed the way you're supposed to do language overrides. We are changing our template and I need to make sure it doesn't change my language. Help!

I'm not sure what changing your template has to do with CB language overrides though. I'm guessing you previously were editing the language files directly, which you can find your language plugins in the below folder.
/components/com_comprofiler/plugin/language

I thought for some reason I had put them under the template folder in the language files. I just couldn't remember how it was done a few years ago. I will look into it.
There was no override usage before the above was implemented. Previously you'd have to just manually edit the language files. Now with the above functionality it generates a overrides.php file to store your language overrides directly in the folder of the language plugin, which can also be used to move or backup overrides.
