[SOLVED] Display different description for 'current' vs 'available' plans? was created by cpaschen
Is there any way to display a different (or even no) description for plans when they are 'current' (active) than the full description of a plan when it is 'available'?
We have lengthy descriptions of plans, but don't want to annoy our users with long descriptions of what they already have.
I tried searching the forum and the manual but can't really tell what to search for, so if it's in the manual, please just tell me what this feature would be called or where it might be found.
Thanks.

Yup, that's doable. CBSubs provides a content prepare usage to condition content. You can enable content prepare usage for plan name and description under the presentation tab of your plan by setting "Prepare content using CMS Content plugins" to "Yes, prepare content with CMS content plugins". Next you can use the below to condition the description to long or short based off having an active subscription or not.
[cbsubs:if plan="PLAN_ID_HERE" status="A"]SHORT DESCRIPTION[cbsubs:else]LONG DESCRIPTION[/cbsubs:else][/cbsubs:if]
For more details of this usage see the description of the CBSubs Joomla system plugin within Extensions > Plugins.
[cbsubs:if plan="PLAN_ID_HERE" status="A"]SHORT DESCRIPTION[cbsubs:else]LONG DESCRIPTION[/cbsubs:else][/cbsubs:if]
For more details of this usage see the description of the CBSubs Joomla system plugin within Extensions > Plugins.
