Limit Merchandise Plans to 1 per user was created by sclarke

Hi,

We have setup a merchandise plan and would like to limit it, so a user can only buy 1. After they have bought 1 the plan shouldn't display for them.

I found an old 2011 post that said to change the Total number of occurrences of regular validity/price in the Pricing tab, but that field isn't showing on the site. ( www.joomlapolis.com/forum/88-usage/148591-limit-merchandise-sales-both-in-total-and-per-user ).

What is the recommended way to do the limiting?

Wouldn't bother with a merchandise plan for that in that case. Suggest using a subscription with number of occurrences set to 1 and use a lifetime duration. Merchandise plans do not have a number of occurrences parameter.
