Urgent - New Member Emails Have Stopped Sending

Only 'CB Paid Subscriptions - en-GB' is not up to date!

We have set up 4 new members and admins should be bcc'd on the first activiation email!

Elastic Email allows us to see what emails have been sent and these are just not going!

Is it just the BCC that isn't working? This was working fine on your previous mail server? or was it also not working on your previous mail server? Switching mail server and suddenly emails not working seams suspicious. Blocked emails aren't going to show in your outbound log; they'd be in the error log.

No, the member copy and bcc are not going.

It does seem a big coincidence, but with J! and Acymail, who each need separate setup, working and CB using J!, I am not sure where to turn!

I have just sent an email via JEvents (someone who booked to attend an event) and it works, as do booking confirmation emails.

This morning we have contact from a new member who cannot log on and tried resetting their password <cb forgot login> but they got the message:

Sending Email Failed! Error: SMTP connect() failed. github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/Troubleshooting

I have again tested the j! smtp settings/connections and all seems OK - I have also sent a few thousand emails via Acymail..

I have just added a new member and it is saying that a message has been sent, however, it is not the welcome message - I am trying to trace what this message is! This 'wrong' email is getting through to Elastic Email servers.

Also, recording the payment is taking a long time!
(Process - set the user up in admin. Go to user in front end and upgrade & mark as paid from there.)

Joomlas test is unreliable for SMTP. So is Joomla SMTP API. Joomla will fallback to PHP Mail if SMTP connection fails. AcyMailing probably will as well if it's using Joomla API. CB doesn't suppress errors. If SMTP fails in CB it will fail to send. Your SMTP settings could still be incorrect. Example SMTP settings as follows using GMail.

It's safe to assume that if this worked prior to switching mail servers that this is entirely a mail server issue or a configuration issue for connecting to said new mail server.
