Can anybody tell me which is the best blog component/ plugin to use with Community Builder so each user can have their own blog that appears on their profile page. Am still using 1.5 with cb subs

Best I can suggest is my own plugin found on incubator as project CB Blogs as it's completely integrated into CB. In addition to that it uses Joomlas (or it's own Internal database) article system to manage the blogs allowing for directory extensions to sort, search, display blogs neatly. Alternatively you could check Joomla.org for various blogging extensions.

thanks Kyle, will have a look at this.
Also wondering if there is a component/plugin for cb that would allow us to set up a calender, so that users could submit events in their profile with the date/s and this would be added to the calender

Unfortunately not at this time. I am working on such a plugin, but no idea when I will have the time to complete it. Currently you could use jEvents or Eventlist event extensions.Also wondering if there is a component/plugin for cb that would allow us to set up a calender
