Cb 1.4 installation problem was created by Thelowlandpiper
I have seen previous posts on this topic but no help; I have Joomla 1.6.3 and am trying to install CB 1.4; since my php limit is currently 2MB, I tried the ftp method described in the documentation;
"{websitestructure}/administrator/components/com_installer/component and then make sure that the Install directory: field contains {websitestructure}/administrator/components/com_installer/component/comprofiler "
I now get a 'Please enter a package directory' error; all the comprofiler files etc are on the server at this location; what am I doing wrong?

Not sure your exact steps for preparing install by directory, but best approach is to request from host that they increase your upload limit. This is typically very easy for them to do and done through PHP.ini. If your host does not require using a "default" PHP.ini you could actually do this your self.
