[SOLVED] PNG gets a white background was created by userbk
I just noticed that when a user uploads a transparent png, the thumbnail created is not transparent, it gets a white background. How do I avoid that and keep pngs transparent?

My selected image software is GD2 Library
Always resample avatar uploads is set to Yes

Is it because it resamples the image?
Is there a way to have it resample the image but keep pngs transparent?

BK

GD and GD2 can't handle transparency or animations. You'll need to use ImageMagick. This is a limitation of PHP (GD library is a part of PHP).

Great, switching to ImageMagic solved it.
