[SOLVED] Renewal options not available.

12 years 10 months ago - 12 years 10 months ago #167801 by edjec
I've searched this forum and others and have not found a solution to this problem, and yes, I have read the manual.

The issue is when a member has a plan that is available for renewal, the renewal button and choices do not appear - it simply shows the plan as subscribed and the proper expiration date, but no renewal button, as shown in attached .png.

The Show Renew/Reactivate buttons: is set to yes. Plan duration is for a one year period and I have tried renewal in advance from 3 months to 1 yr prior.

The problem exists in both CB Subs 1.1.2 and 1.2. Have I missed another setting somewhere or could there be a deeper problem?

Please navigate to CBSubs > Settings > Global and ensure "Show Renew/Reactivate buttons:" is set to "Yes".

Have reviewed your installation and for your plans you've "Total number of occurrences of regular validity/price (0=unlimitted):" set to 1. This means the plan can only be subscribed to 1 time. Setting this to 2 would give you 1 subscription and 1 renewal. Setting to 0 would give unlimited for instance. Please review your plans and adjust the parameter as needed. I've changed this for "Membership - US" for you. Please keep in mind this likely won't affect existing subscriptions. I had to unsubscribe and delete my subscription then re-subscribe so the calculations could be redone and stored to DB.

Thank you! That completely escaped me. I'll confer with the client to see how many years they will allow advanced renewals for and set accordingly. No problem with existing subscriptions as these are just test and the entire membership will be imported shortly.

Thanks again for your time and expertise.
