[SOLVED] GJ 2.4 - Permissions - Users cannot create groups

12 years 5 months ago - 12 years 5 months ago #181692 by craig0307
With the exception of Admin level, for some reason the Create Group facility has disappeared for Registered Users. I have checked the Integrations tab permissions which are set for all registered users to have create permission.

If I use a manual menu item entry to try and force the creation ie.
/index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=pluginclass&plugin=cbgroupjive&action=groups&func=new&cat=1&Itemid=13

the page is redirected to a group view...

index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=pluginclass&plugin=cbgroupjive&action=overview&Itemid=13

Environment is Joomla 1.5, CB 1.7.1, GJ 2.4

Any advice you can offer on this would be appreciated.

Many thanks,

Craig

(PS - have tried varying between All Registered & Registered)

Group creation is also based off the individual category group creation permissions. Please edit your categories and set Create to Enabled then save and it should resolve the issue. Please note there is a bug that causes this parameter to revert to Disabled so each time you edit that category you must reset it to Enabled, this is fixed with next release and is purely cosmetic.
