[SOLVED] Accidently uploaded a plug in using CB

12 years 4 months ago - 12 years 4 months ago #186241 by raniko
Hi. I accidentally uploaded a plugin (CB Author Plug) using the CB installer when I should have used the Joomla installer. The weird thing is that I received a green install message after it went through. Of course, I can't find any plug either in the back end or in my comprofiler plugin folder, so it must have failed. My questions are:

1) Is there any way to see if any part of this plugin was installed?
2) Is there a way to revers any damage that may have been done other then a site back up?
I've been busy since then and would prefer an alternative to a site backup.
3) There doesn't appear to be any damage done.... What are my risks if I do nothing?

Many thanks.

If it's not in Plugin Manager then it didn't install. You can check the below folder to see if it did and if it did then it had an XML file designed for CB. You can't simply install a Joomla extension to CB and it'll go through. They've completely different XML files.

Okay. Thanks. Thats what I thought. Not sure why it looked like I got successful installation messages but there is certainly no folder in there for that plug.

Cheers and Happy Holidays
