Few general questions

hello

- Where are located all value inside database related to Delimiter and Query field?? In fact I have several Delimiter and Query field active and all their value are correctly displayed inside each user profile (backend). I looked in all CB table but I don't see any of those field... Any clue ??

- I created many required fields and some of them are set for be displayed at registration. However some of those fields will not always displayed due to conditions on it (using CB Conditional). That mean according to users choice when registering, some of those required fields will not be filled.

The problem now is because if I need to update from backend some users data, I'm unable to save my change without filling all unfilled required fields. This is a bit annoying because my goal is of course to distinguish which field was filled by users and which not. I can maybe simply fill required field with dummy stuff (this can be fine for field who are hidden on profile front view) but the best will be to allow Admin to modify and save any user from backend even if some fields are required..

Do you plan to allow us to set fields "required" and let Admin manage/save users data from backend and avoid to fill empty required fields ?? Or maybe is possible and I miss something ??

- Can you comment this topic please ?

Just commenting on this for now (Kyle will be able to help with other items on Monday):

CB Configuration has a parameter to allow backend administrators to edit user profiles without the need to complete required extra CB fields. This is clearly described in the documentation also.

CB Configuration -> User Profile tab:

Fields validation in Admin

Delimiter field values aren't stored to _comprofiler. As the delimiter fields values are basically the fields description, but with substitution support you'll find them in _comprofiler_fields with the delimiter fields database row.

Query fields are purely calculated. The value is stored no where. The value seen is whatever the result is of the database query you supplied it.

Of course, if the required field is hidden based off your own conditional configuration then it won't be completed.

The problem now is because if I need to update from backend some users data, I'm unable to save my change without filling all unfilled required fields. This is a bit annoying because my goal is of course to distinguish which field was filled by users and which not. Latest release lets you enable conditional support for backend usage. Alternatively you can disable backend fields validation (recommended) within CB > Configuration > User Profile as Nick has suggested.

That's a great idea and I see it on many sites. We'll review further for CB 2.0. I highly doubt something would be implemented for a CB 1.x release as we're more or less feature locked now until CB 2.0.
