substitutions in registration was created by socialfan
Integrated in delimiter field in a tab published in registration and added:
[cb:userfield field="avatar" output="htmledit" reason="edit" /]
however, it doesnt show. Maybe sub. not possible at registration?

Doesn't make sense as the avatar field does not have a value yet.

I have avatar as only field in one tab.

In order to optimize registration I wanted to populate field in different tab so I can skip one tab in condidtional registration.

And the substitution string was output="htmledit" reason="edit" not show value...

You've no need to use such a substitution. Simply add the avatar field to registration on whatever tab you want. Using a substitution does not make it ignore access permissions. If it's on a tab that is not published and public your substitution will be empty. The reason should be set to "register" as well so it respects registration settings. As is you're trying to render it as if you're on profile edit.
