Groupjive -How to remove the field Parent category was created by flatmatch
Hi,
I ve installed groupjive on Joomla 2.5 + cb1.8.
I don t want nested categories or nested groups.
So I create some categories and when a member create a "group", he has to select the category. My problem is the field "Parent" of category is displayed -->
Parent Please save Group with Category before selecting parent Group.Information for: : Select parent Group. Selecting parent Group allows for nested Group display.

How to hide this field?

You can disable nesting for categories and groups as follows.
GJ > Config > Categories > General > Nested > "Disable"
GJ > Config > Groups > General > Nested > "Disable"
Note this will not disable nesting for administrators.
This will only hide the parameters if using GJ 2.5.2. If still not hidden you'll need to edit category_edit.php and group_edit.php template files to remove the parent parameter.
