[SOLVED] Settings help please was created by shardnzl

HI all, a real newbie question. When a registered user goes to create a new group the dropdowns to select the category this new group will belong to are missing (it says "There are no Categories available."). I am sure this is just a config settings issue so any help pointing me where to look would be helpful.
P.S This only seems to be a problem for registered members, not admins - if that helps.

Ensure your categories are Published. Also ensure they're set to allow groups to be created in them. Both can be adjusted by simply editing your categories.

Thanks very much - you are dead right - the settings on the category pages take precedence over the group-jive settings.
