Changing Groups Order

Changing Groups Order was created by scottie33t
Hello, users have been adding a lot of groups on my site (probably about 10 pages of groups now) and the problem I'm seeing is the more popular ones aren't getting found as often by the members. Many of the more popular groups aren't as easily found or seen (because they're pages back now). Currently the newest groups are always shown first within a category, however the problem is many of these newer groups aren't as popular.

Instead of showing newest groups first, is it possible to rank or sort them by groups with the most members first? For example, groups with 50 members would be placed above those with only 25, however those with 25 members would rank above groups with more than 10 members..?

It orders them based off their backend order. New groups are automatically ordered first so it's newest to oldest unless you move them manually in backend. There's no ordering based off popularity, etc..
