Please navigate to CB > Tools and see if second step needs to be performed. Seams like due to permissions or something of the sort your install was incomplete. Please try installing CB 1.8.1 as normally through Joomla extension manager to upgrade your existing install (even if you're already on 1.8.1). Can also happen due to bad permissions.

Im learning now how to use groupe and access. And each time i change the access control of the plugin cb_menu the cb credit coming back. Now i set thing up after reading manual of joomla about access control !
