[SOLVED] Request to be a member of a group in GJ

[SOLVED] Request to be a member of a group in GJ was created by fmongarex
1.Is there a way i can make the name of a private group visible to the public and the tabs only visible ti group members?

2. How can i make registered users request for membership op a certain group apart from sending them invites?

Set the group to Approval, then set all of the tabs to not be Public. Invite only groups can't be seen unless a user has been invited to it.

You could use the auto integration with after registration trigger to force them into a group as "Inactive" and then Group owners, moderators, or admins can approve them.

I have managed to hide the groups from the public. Thanks for that, i still have a problem with CB activity pulling out pics from Private groups also i have not managed to hide the tabs for a private group(those tho are invited and approved) from the generally registered members and the public i am not sure if i make config settings on GJ or CB Activity or CB invites to restrict view of private groups to only group members
i.e.
1.Public-see list of groups but not private
2.Registered-see list of all groups including private but need to request for membership view tabs
3.Group members-view all groups plus tabs of private groups they have joined

It's designed to respect privacy so such activity shouldn't be visible to users unless they have access to that group and its content. If you're viewing as a super user for example you'll see all that content. Try logging out, refreshing, and seeing if you can see content you for groups you can't access and what happens when you click the links to access said content.

Thanks i changed group access to registered not (all registered)and disabled public view for each tab i wished to privatize and it has worked for me thanks for the support.
