Connections/buddies can be deleted by counterparty

11 years 9 months ago #206868 by erichburkhard
I have the following environment: Joomla 2.5.6 / CB 1.8.1. / CBSubs 2.0.1.
The other settings in CB/Connections are:

Enable connections: YES
Display type: Private
Display connection Path: YES
Mutual consent: NO
Notification method: None
Cross connection NO

With the above settings user A can 'add' user B to it's buddy (connection) list, without asking user B. This is what I want. The problem is that user B sees (in his manage connection area - there is a certain tab) whether he is in the buddy list (means connected) of user A ...and then is able to delete this connection. The result of this is that user A will also loose user B from his buddy (connection) list. But this is not what I want.
In my scenario it should not be possible that users which are listed as a buddy somewhere remove themselves from these lists....this is not the 'spirit' of the buddy system

...is this a bug or a feature?

cheers Eric

Believe you're referring to "Manage Connections With Me". Yes, this is working as intended. I suppose you can just hide it using CSS. Example as follows.
#cbtabconnected,
#myCon .tab-row .tab:nth-child(3) {
	display: none !important;
}
