[SOLVED] problem with avatar upload was created by staeren

a user wants to upload an avatar. when he clicks on upload there is a message displayed at the place of the avatar: "you are not allowed to visit this page". The avatar is not shown but all other fields are there. What could be the problem? i use cbcorefieldsajax plugin.

My guess is you're missing a public and published Joomla menu link to CBs profile. Also ensure the avatar field is on a public and published tab so they can access it.

i see this message is appearing for all cb profile fields that are changed in frontend by the user! this is not so for myself as superadmin. can i check somewhere if the access rights are correct or is this cbcorefieldsajax plugin only working for the standard joomla groups and not for my own added usergroups???

It's a permissions problem. You've a Joomla menu link issue. Please provide the original translation of that error. I can't find it anywhere in CB or Joomla for that matter; perhaps it's coming from a 3rd party plugin (disable Joomla User plugins, excluding Joomlas, 1 by 1 until resolved).

i found this in dutch.php file of CB1.8.1:

DEFINE('_UE_NOT_AUTHORIZED','Je bent niet bevoegd om deze pagina te bekijken!');

there is a public menu link (in a hidden menu = onzichtbare menu):
