Ok thanks, I'll try with CB Auto Action... but could you tell me which trigger I should use to perform an action when a user search for another user.
I've try with the 'onBeforeUsersListQuery' but it doesn't work.
I would like to force a user to fill a search criteria. If he doesn't, it will be redirected and receive a message.

You'll probably want to use onBeforeDisplayUsersList, which is fired as follows (shows its available variables).
$_PLUGINS->trigger( 'onBeforeDisplayUsersList', array( &$row, &$users, &$columns, &$allFields, &$lists, $listid, &$search, &$option_itemid, 1 ) );

Disappointed that our real concerns have not been addressed.
I've been proud of CB so far until this encounter. A search function is for search. If by not entering anything and clicking search can reveal the entire list, it is certainly a glaring flaw. This is not about a coding issue. It is about logic and user's need.
The right response is probably to add this into the wishlist for the next release. Unfortunately, it seems like you prefer to conclude "It is intended to be like this". What a pity.

For now it's working as intended, but it absolutely is on our todo list to completely rewrite userlist usage; that however doesn't help you now. My proposal is a solution to help you now and while it may require some coding you would at the least have what you're wanting.
