"Search" throws undefined index error was created by bigtuner
Hello Everyone

Joomla! 2.5.6
CB 1.8.1
PHP 5.2.17

On the live site uniconexed.org , I get an undefined index error when using the search module. I get real links, then a series of these:

Notice: Undefined index: view in <span>/</span>home<span>/</span>uniconex/public_html/components/com_content/router.php on line 48

try entering "webinar" in search to see the problem.

I've read quite a few "solutions". The one I tried was to add the following to .htaccess:

RewriteRule ^component\/content\/(\d*)$ /component/content/article/$1 [R=301,L]

DFW - as far as I can tell, "Doesn't Freakin' Work"

I think this happens because some of my links might reference a page like

index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=141

instead of:

some-page.html

but not sure.

Also, I hope I can limit the search to the public site, maybe establish second search for members only SSL site.

Finally, I have both search and smart search enabled. Is that necessary or redundant?

I'd love to get the search working properly.

Any suggestions? Your help is greatly appreciated.

It's a bug in Joomla. It throws an error if a Content URL is missing a menu Itemid. I've no idea why it does this, but it's fixed in CBs author tab as well as CB Blogs and CB Articles (if using latest). CB also has nothing to do with your search module so not sure why is posted here; please post to Joomla.org forums. Typically the fix is to ensure your content has at least 1 Joomla menu link to its category.

I do appreciate your quick response. Since CB took over my users, lists and all, I thought maybe search as well. Sorry to post in the wrong forum, but you did answer most of my question, so it wasn't in vein on either our parts.

Dan
