CB plugin installer error

CB plugin installer error was created by cveraq
I'm trying to install a language from CB plugin installer. I get the following error

"The PHP allow_url_fopen setting is disabled. This setting must be enabled for the updater to work"

I found no such error message anywhere in CB. No idea where it's coming from. Ensure you're installing the CB language package through CB > Plugin Management.

From what I can find that's a Joomla error. So you're either trying to install through Joomla extension manager (incorrect location) or Joomla API utilized by CBs installer is throwing it. Regardless you need to contact your host and have that enabled, please see below Joomla post regarding this.

That's not where you install CB language plugins. You install CB language plugins within CB > Plugin Management.

I already install the spanish language for CB but in order to see CB in spanish I must have the spanish language installed in the content area also... so that's why I'm doing this installation and reporting the error. Please let me know if I have another forum to ask in order to allow this operation? It's seem a hosting restriction but as I explained I have my hosting also in joomlapolis. If I can not install spanish language in content area then I can not see CB in spanish.

Simply install the Joomla language plugin through Joomlas extension manager; you don't need to go to Joomlas language manager (install as you would a module, component, etc..). CB language plugins again are only installed through CB; you need a Joomla language plugin to install through Joomla for the matching language.
