[SOLVED] Customer management in a tab

11 years 7 months ago - 11 years 6 months ago #212728 by erilam
Hello,

I'm searching a way to set a tab in my user profile where I can autorize a group of user-admin to add information.
For example : My project is an association's project and they have one subscriber section by country. Each country has one or more manager. If one of these managers had a call with a subscriber he will be able to add a line on the subscriber profile (i.e : Phone call, 2012-10-19, from xxx to yy, blah blah blah). In this case all admin could see this add in a reserved tab.

How can I do this, is there already a CB solution or not ?
Thx for answers

CB 1.8.1, cbsubs 2.0.2, Joomla 2.5.7

Use CB Privacy Plug In

Set Front End Edit to Moderator - Admin only

Set show on profile to no

Setup a Text Editor or something so admins can add personal notes on each users profile that only they can see..

Thx for reply ciaxer,

I thought about this solution but the problem is that if a country manager delete old messages by error, all messages will be deleted definitvely

I wonder if a forms with Chronoforms for example won't be a solution. After that may be I can display an extract from the Chronoforms table... I search in this direction.

Yeah my solution is amateurish and crude, it definitely has some serious cons doing it that way. Im hoping CB 1.9 will have much better access controls built in. I have found myself wanting better access controls on tabs, and CB Privacy is pretty limited

I dont know about Chronoforms, and am pretty limited at Community Builder..But I like to help if I can. I wish I had a better solution for you to try out.

It won't. 1.9 is just a J3.0 ready release, it has no new major features. CB 2.0 will though.

Best approach is to develop a new plugin to fit your needs. It's not really a job for user fields. Having a plugin private to moderators and frontend accessible with permission access for each moderator (so they can't delete or edit another moderators note) would be best. It could even be generalized as a Notes plugin and commercialized.

We listened to your council and developed our own plugin called "CRM light". We still have some improvements to be made (esthetics, multilingual) before this plugin comes to take place in your market-place but it should be available quickly ;)
