Do you mean displaying the activity stream in order to be notified?
I looked into the CB Activity Module but couldn't find the option to display a notification button.

You can also use the CB Activity Module and set Mode to Notifications to display it as a module wherever you like.

Create a CB Activity Module and set the "Mode" parameter to "Notifications". You do not need to do anything further. It by default will display the notifications icon as shown on your profile. If no such Mode is available then your CB Activity Module is out of date and should be updated.I looked into the CB Activity Module but couldn't find the option to display a notification button.
