[SOLVED] trying to replicate a login page. was created by AlanJones
I have a bit of a weird request.
I have a site setup where an activity notification link (from email) will go to a login page with a system message to login (if the user isn't logged in).
If user logs in then it takes you directly to that notification... example link: www.firebrandchurch.com/firebrand-groups?action=activity&func=show&id=1586
It works great!
I'm trying to setup another website to give the exact same response (for those not logged in system message & login page) but I can't get it to evoke the login page... example page: www.grouplands.com/community?action=activity&func=show&id=134
It might have something to do with menu setup, but I can't figure it out.
Any ideas?

Check what Joomla menu item it's using and set that menu item access to Registered. That should trigger Joomla's access check.

That didn't do it... and the one that's working ( www.firebrandchurch.com/firebrand-groups?action=activity&func=show&id=1586) is set to public.
I also looked at CB Login modules to see if there were some there set to registered, couldn't find any.
It's probably something so simple. Any other ideas?

My best guess is maybe you used CB Auto Actions to configure a redirect to login. Menu item access is typically how this is accomplished though. CB Activity doesn't have anything built in for that nor is CB Login Module responsible. You have a login module on that page though so is sending them to the login page itself really necessary?

Yea, I just really like the Please Login First system message. But it isn't really necessary... It just bugs me
